Faith, work, and life
in Charleston.
Charleston Faith & Work is an independent editorial publication covering faith, entrepreneurship, theology of work, and culture in Charleston, SC.
We are not a church. We are not a nonprofit program. We are a publication that tells the stories of people integrating their faith into their daily work in this city.
We believe work is not a consequence of the fall. It was given before the fall, and the resurrection restores our ability to do it as we were designed to.
What we believe about work
Long before the Great Commission, there was a first commission: to work and keep, to cultivate and create. That mandate has never been rescinded. The resurrection did not replace it. It restored our capacity to fulfill it.
We believe that understanding how you are made, your wiring, your gifts, your particular design, is not self-indulgence. It is stewardship. God crafted each person to contribute something specific, and the work of faith includes discovering what that is and deploying it for the good of the city.
Who this is for
Entrepreneurs, professionals, creatives, and leaders in Charleston who want a richer framework for thinking about their work than "just be faithful." People who sense that their daily work matters to God but haven't found a community or a language that helps them articulate why.
Get involved
We are always looking for writers, contributors, and stories. If you are doing meaningful work in Charleston and want to share what you are learning about faith and vocation, we would love to hear from you.
